Autumn Cupcake



Hello fellow crafters!  I absolutely love the fall with its hue of colors and crisp air. It is my favorite season. And I also love to make fall cards. This one was made for an old college friend whose birthday falls this month.

I began with die cutting the cupcake using orange card stock for the cupcake holder, brown for the cupcake top and glossy white for the frosting. Some shading was done on the cupcake holder and the cupcake top. The cupcake was then assembled and put aside. Next, the leaves were die cut, using several different leaf dies. These were all colored with various inks. Finally, the acorn and pumpkin were die cut and colored with inks. 

The base card was prepared in ivory card stock and layered with brown, followed by orange card stock. The focal panel was die cut in ivory using a punch around the page punch and adhered to the prepared base. At this point the elements were positioned and adhered to the card using dimensionals and other adhesives. My project was complete.

Dies:  Martha Stewart Skylands Snowflake Punch-Around-the-Page punch, CottageCutz Autumn Sweets, IO Fall Icon Wreath, Spellbinders Welcome Fall, Spellbinders Mini Fall Blooms, Honey Bee Fall Bouquets

Inks:  Distress Oxide Fossilized Amber, Spiced Marmalade, Candied Apple, Wilted Violet, Peeled Paint, Vintage Photo; Memento Morocco.

Other:  adhesive, dimensionals, glue pen, Scor Tape
