Speedy Recovery

Hello! This card was made for the husband of my dearest friend. He recently had surgery on his right toe and I decided to use that as the focal theme in my card.

I began with creating my focal panel by embossing GKD Pure Luxury Ivory card stock with a Sizzix Stripes EF. I put that aside and prepared my base card in PTI Dark Chocolate, layered it with GKD Pure Luxury Ivory, and added  a layer of plaid digital paper from my stash. My focal layer was then adhered to my prepared base card.

Next, I worked on creating the images. The foot image was cut with Marianne"s Feet die. The medicine bottle image is a stamp from GKD Under the Weather set and was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, colored and then cut out. The label on the bottle was computer generated, cut to fit the medicine bottle and then adhered to it. The band aid image was hand made using card stock which was run through a polka dot EF and then cut and assembled to resemble a band aid. These were all positioned and adhered to the focal panel.

The sentiment was computer generated and then cut with Spellbinders A2 Distressed Edges die and matted with green card stock slightly larger than the sentiment panel. I added a green ribbon and adhered the sentiment on the right edge of the panel. This completed my project.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Hope you'll stop by often.
