In Honor of Ukraine

I made this card in support and honor of Ukraine. The colors of Ukraine are blue and yellow....the blue representing the heavens and yellow (gold) representing Ukraine's abundant wheat.

I began by using blue card stock for my base. I cut a panel in cream card stock to layer over the blue and punched each corner with an EK Success Victorian Lace corner punch. I matted it with gold card stock in order that the gold show through the punched corners. This was then adhered to the blue card base.

For my focal point, I stamped the wheat bundle image, using PTI First Fruits stamp set, in Versamark and then embossed it with gold EP. Putting that aside I cut and embossed the blue frame using a Spellbinder's Captivating Squares die. Next, I cut out the middle of that frame using a Spellbinders Petite  Ovals die. I adhered my focal image to the back of the frame and then popped it on to my card with dimensionals. The sentiment, which is in Ukrainian, was computer generated and translates as Glory to Ukraine.

Thanks for stopping by and please come again. My door is always open!

Beautiful card and a wonderful tribute to Ukraine. Hope that things can be resolved peacefully over there.
