Follow Your Dreams

Hello!  Here is a card I made for this week's challenge at Joan's Touch. The criteria for this challenge were:  colors of peach and teal, a circle, and layered  butterflies.

I began with stamping a clear vase, from GKD Buds and Vases stamp set, on white card stock  in Memento Espresso Truffle ink and coloring it with Copics. I cut and embossed this focal panel with Spellbinders Radiant Rectangles

In my next step, using a stamp  from GKD Dogwood and Butterfly stamp set, I stamped the floral image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, positioning the image to appear coming out of the vase. I stamped the floral image a second time on white card stock, colored it with Copics and cut out just the flowers, not the stem. I then popped the colored image over the stamped image.

The butterfly in the upper left is a colored digital stamp that I found on Etsy.  I cut it out twice and layered one on top of the other, although the photo doesn't show the layers. The other butterfly was created with Spellbinders Les Papillions Two. The bottom layer of this butterfly is in teal and was cut and embossed with the solid die from this die set. The top layer was cut in black with the intricate die from this set.

The sentiment was computer generated. I Used Martha Stewart's Rose Window punch to cut out the circular shape. Before attaching it to the focal panel, I sponged the edges with PTI Hawaiian Shores ink.

I used white card stock for my base which I layered with peach. The focal panel was matted with teal and then adhered to the base. That completed my project.

Thanks for stopping by. I'll be back tomorrow with another card for the challenge at Joan's Touch.
